Fabian is an economist with a particular focus on economic and statistical modelling. He specializes in bridging the gap between economic theory and practical implementation, employing his expertise to develop user-friendly economic tools for providing specialised policy advice and recommendations to both government and private entities. With diverse sector experience, Fabian has a particular focus on health, urban development, water, waste, and the environment.
Fabian possesses in-depth knowledge of developing and reviewing cost-benefit analyses (CBA) for complex and data-rich environments. He applies his comprehensive skill set to economic modelling and empirical analysis, utilising various software tools including Excel, Stata, and R. Additionally, he utilises GIS software like MapInfo and QGIS for spatial analysis, merging economic principles with geographic data. This integration allows for leveraging spatial analysis techniques, enhancing the robustness and precision of economic evaluations.
Fabian holds a Master of Science degree in Economics with specialisations in macroeconomics and finance, and health economics, from the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg in Germany. His thesis focused on investigating the existence of the bank lending channel, with a particular emphasis on the Zero Lower Bound and Quantitative Easing (QE) environment across OECD countries.
