NSW Workers Compensation Statutory Review

The CIE was commissioned by the NSW Office of Finance and Services to undertake the Statutory Review of the Workers Compensation Legislation Amendment Act 2012, which introduced wide ranging reforms to the way that workers compensation is delivered in New South Wales.
The report was tabled in NSW Parliament on 30 June 2014 and contains key findings on the extent to which the amendments met their objectives, and identifies areas for further attention to address barriers to return to work, minimise the regulatory burden, and improve fairness and equity whilst maintaining financial sustainability.
