Contribution of Australian horticulture industry

Last week, Hort Innovation released an economywide analysis by the CIE of the Australian horticulture industry.

For this job, we developed two specialist models of the industry which allowed us to track both the value of horticultural output and the linkages between horticulture and other industries in the economy. We combined the economywide models with ABS census data to provide a number of regional snapshots which help in understanding the importance of horticulture for Australia’s regional communities.
