Review of cost efficiency analysis

The CIE conducted a review of analysis and conclusions drawn by consultants and the Essential Services Commission of South Australia (ESCOSA) with regard to SA Water’s forecast operating expenditure. The review identified several issues with the forecasting methods applied in the draft determination for SA Water’s prices for the period 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2028. These issues were considered by ESCOSA in arriving at its final determination.
